Project Description
Developed a multi-agent system based on multiple CCTV cameras and robots that monitor and enforce physical distancing constraints in large areas to combat COVID-19.
This system detects violations of the COVID-19 rule, i.e., physical distancing, with the help of person detection and distance estimation in real-time video data from CCTV cameras. In case of a violation, the system estimates the location of the person using camera location and mapping information. Later, the robot is sent to the estimated location to enforce physical distancing through voice communication.
Moreover, this system also performs person re-identification for tracking of persons involved in persistent violations. This system can also be used in other applications, such as handling emergency situations, theft detection, and surveillance, through robots.
